Jenny Xu is a Washington, DC-based artist who is drawn to nostalgia, pleasure, and – clearly – the color pink.

She draws inspiration from a wide range of art styles, from American Pop Art ideals to Dutch stillevens and beyond.

Her primary medium is acrylic paint. She also experiments with watercolor, oil paint, ink pens, oil pastels, color pencil, and physical media.

Art is play and a reflection of one’s world. Jenny’s world is deeply influenced by her roots as a born-and-raised New Yorker, a daughter of Chinese immigrants, and a conscientious global citizen. She earned a B.A. in Government from Georgetown University with a minor in studio art.
